The Village is served by two elected, part-time constables.  One constable is elected at each spring election (in April) for staggered two year terms.

The constables are charged with the duty to keep and preserve peace, direct traffic, restrain animals running at large, and all other duties delegated to them by the Village Board.  They have jurisdiction to issue citations for violations of the Village ordinances, and to cause to be prosecuted those violations which are not corrected. 

Please note that usually our constables do have other employment, and may not be immediately available to respond to a situation.  If you have an emergency, please dial 911 for the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department.

If you have received a citation for violation of a Village ordinance, you may submit payment of your fine to Village Hall (US mail, in person, or the drop box) at 913 S. Wisconsin Drive, Howards Grove, WI 53083.  Please pay your citations within seven days of issuance to be eligible for the reduced fine, as listed on your citation.  Citations not paid within seven days are due for the full amount.
